OCESA sought a poster design for "The Vaccines" concert scheduled for August 3, 2015, with a specific directive to capture the primal essence of the band's punk and grunge influences. The initial creative process involved three early explorations, each attempting to encapsulate the raw energy and aesthetic that defines the band's musical identity. After a series of iterations, the final design emerged, centered around a croquet motif that perfectly encapsulated the desired feel and direction for the upcoming event.
Being new to "The Vaccines" scene I thought to use my unfamiliarity to my advantage. I fixated on playing with the idea on, what kind of characteristic does the solution of this punk/grunge have in the syringe? So I envisioned a leather jacket-pierced nose hoodlum living in the drops of the vaccine.
